아프가니스탄 동부 쿠나르주, 폭발사고로 7명 사망
지난 20일 파키스탄 국경 지역과 인접해 있는 아사다바드 지역 도로에서 폭발사고가 일어나 7명이 숨졌다. 이 가운데는 2명의 어린이도 포함돼 있다. 사고가 일어난 트럭은 쿠나르 주도인 사아다바드에서 파키스탄 국경과 가까운 나리지역으로 운행중이었다.
한편 지난 18일 발표된 UN 보고서에 따르면 올 들어 11월까지 민간인 사상자와 부상자는 각각 3188명, 6429명에 이르러 연간 민간인 희생자 규모 면에서 가장 많았다. 작년에 비해서는 약 33% 증가된 것이다. 민간인 희생의 주된 원인으로 발전된 폭파기술도 꼽히고 있으나, 약 75%는 탈레반에 의한 것이라고 보고서는 지적했다.

The explosion occurred late Saturday when the pickup truck was driving from Asadabad, the capital of Kunar province, to Nari district close to the border with Pakistan.
A UN report released on Friday said civilian casualties hit a record high this year, with 3,188 civilians killed and 6,429 injured by the end of November.
Compared to 2013, this year also saw a 33 percent rise in casualties among children and a 12 percent increase among women.
While ground fighting between troops and armed groups and Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) remained leading causes of deaths and injuries, the Taliban were accountable for 75 percent of all civilian casualties, the report said.

오바마, “북한, 테러지원국 재지정 검토”
버락 오바마 미국 대통령이 북한의 테러지원국 재지정을 검토 중이라고 발표했다. FBI는 지난 19일 북한이 소니픽처스 엔터테인먼트에 해킹 공격을 자행했다고 밝힌 바 있다. 북한은 20년간 테러지원국으로 지정되어 있다가 지난 2008년 핵 협상 때 명단에서 제외됐다.
Sony hack: US mulls putting N Korea back on terror list
President Barack Obama has said the US is considering putting North Korea back on its list of terrorism sponsors after the hacking of Sony Pictures.
The FBI said on Friday that North Korea had carried out last month’s cyber-attack, in which script details and private emails were leaked.

Al-Qaeda ‘bursting with pain’ over Pakistan school attack
PESHAWAR (AFP) – Al-Qaeda’s regional branch on Sunday said its hearts were “bursting with pain” over the Taleban’s massacre at a Pakistan school and urged the militants to target only security forces.
The attack on Tuesday killed 149 people – mostly children – in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.

북한, 소니 영화사 해킹의혹에 반발
북한이 소니픽처스 엔터테인턴트 해킹 관련 의혹을 부인했다. 버락 오바마 미국 대통령은 북한의 소니픽처스 엔터테인먼트 해킹 사건을 ‘사이버 반달리즘’으로 규정하고, 이에 맞서 강력 대응할 것이라고 말했다. 소니 픽처스의 영화 <인터뷰>는 미국 토크쇼 제작진이 CIA로부터 김정은 국방위원장 암살 지령을 받는 코미디 영화이다.
North Korea denies alleged cyber-attack on Sony
North Korea has again denied US accusations that it was involved in a cyber-attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In reaction to possible US sanctions, North Korea’s National Defense Commission released a statement on Sunday, saying the FBI’s charges are fabrications based on groundless documents and fictions.
The announcement came after the FBI accused North Korea of being involved in the hacking of Sony Pictures, over the film “The Interview”, a fictional depiction of the killing of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
US President Barack Obama stated his plan for possible sanctions against the North.
