기독교·불교·이슬람·힌두교 공존하는 아시아의 ‘크리스마스 풍경’

[아시아엔=최정아 기자] 기독교·불교·이슬람교의 발상지이자 이슬람부터 힌두교까지 다양한 종교가 공존하는 아시아. 기독교·천주교를 국교로 삼지 않은 아시아 국가에서도 크리스마스를 즐기는 모습이 포착돼 눈길을 끌고 있다.

무슬림 어린이들은 호기심 가득한 얼굴로 ‘산타할아버지’를 바라보며, 젊은이들은 삼삼오오 모여 크리스마스 분위기를 한껏 즐긴다. 사계절이 무더운 여름인 인도 남부 지역의 한 워터파크에선 ‘한여름의 크리스마스’를 맞았다.

Christmas Festivities around Asia

In Asia, from Islam to Hinduism, diverse religions coexist.
